This is how I'm trying to get more 2 Hearted, Jai Alai, and Pliny. Haven't had Heady Topper but my wife's boss wants me to give it a shot too.

Just for the record, it's not illegal for people to buy ingredients for me, right? I have several offers.

It's not illegal. Just don't sell it after you've pitched yeast. I've had several people buy ingredients. That's how brews get moved up on the brew list in my house.

Its a balmy 12 degrees outside today, and although I know it is far colder in the midwest and (middle east?, what do you call the states in the central time zone?) So, how are the Cigar City Puppy's Breath Porter and Winter Warmer for drinking now? Should I age them? I have one of each and I'm not sure how long to hang onto them.

Puppy's Breath should be consumed fairly fresh, IMO. It's good, but nothing really special about that one, it gets a lot of local hype because it was a long time tasting room draft only beer. WWWW can go either way, drink it now for the full hop forward experience or save it for a year or four for a drastically different drinking experience.

I was unaware of any laws against me sharing home brew. I do it quite frequently mostly growler fills at a time. I'll have to look that up.

haha It is okay. I seriously need to dial back on trades. We're getting a lot of stuff here in NC, but the real reason comes down to how much I am spending each month on beer. Even though I buy and then receive, shipping adds up. I may have looked at my bank statement for the last 6 months...I felt sick and then realized why I get emails about rehab centers!

I looked at the NC law on home brew and it says it's legal to produce, transport and consume beer for yourself, your family, and your guests. Actually, I didn't see any language that specifically prohibited the exchange of money, but I guess that's probably covered in other alcohol related laws.
