Get your self healthy and feel better;)

Thanks! It's weird...I don't feel sick at all other than having a raging fever and chills. Take a Tylenol and it goes away.

Water before bed. Day off tomorrow so hopefully I can get some beer drinking in.

How's the 11.11.11? I've got one in the cellar that I've been saving for no reason.

Bought this in San Antonio this summer. Found a few bottles of my smoked porter I did probably five years ago while moving out some brewing gear. The Alaskan is to heavy on the smoke for my tastes. Mine is heavy on the Carmel/toffee. It's rather tasty mixed together. View attachment 237053

Edit: whoops double post

Hey, I just finished Bitter Brew! It's a good read. Trying to decide if I should have 1 more before bed,

The book is interesting. Growing up in St Louis, AB is a constant presence, and Dad says they helped put me through college. I remember some of the stories unfolding 'live'. The behind the scene dealings are interesting. I'm having a hard time with auggie 3rd being able to tell which brewery a bottle of bud came from by taste, but who knows...

Still there huh? Are you in the line for the extra 2-3' too? I hope the pantry is well stocked! Hope you get home soon!

Yup, still here 44 hours later. I'm really ready to go home and have a beer. The pantry, fridges and freezer are pretty well stocked so we can make it. Will be outta milk soon but oh well.
Apparently a front loader is leaving to come in a half hour to dig our driveway out, but it's miles from us so it'll be a while.
I just wanna go home have some beers, take a shower and put on clean clothes.

Hang in there. I hope you get out of there soon.

It's ok, but if you're going that route (all Centennial IPA), Two Hearted is just so much better that I rarely will buy the Centennial.

Agreed, Founders was too sweet.

If I want a hop forward IPA, I want it dry and crisp.

Bells is much better, but I was looking for another all Centennial IPA to get the flavor and idea locked down for my next Pale.

Even Geoff Larson said (at Dixie Cup last year) that the Smoked Porter is much better with at least a year or two on it. He brought some 2012 and 2008 to illustrate it.

Maybe you should start fermenting something just in case:D

Happy birthday Jon!

Coffee.

I've been sitting on mine for a while in the hopes it won't be too smokey. I don't mind a little hint of smoke, but I really don't want it to taste like I'm drinking liquid smoke either.

More coffee as I try to clear out the pile of bureaucratic paperwork that keeps me from doing anything productive :(

You in CT today? :rockin:

Coffee. Looks like it may end up being a reasonable day today. Got some birthday drinking to do tonight.

Man that is so rough. I hope you get home soon!

Water.

Double shot of DayQuil

Going to be seeing the pink elephants on parade?

I do have to behave myself a bit this evening, I have work tomorrow and do not wanna be in too much pain. The real party is scheduled for next saturday when I am smoking up a bunch of BBQ and opening up my taps to friends and family.

Going to drink beers, bourbon and beers tonight after a dinner with family.

Water. Gym was packed as **** yesterday. Wait 'til New Years. Good thing everyone is on the treadmills or the ellipticals and don't touch weights.

You'd want at least 2 years on it then. 1 year will still have significant smoke although it smoothes out somewhat. The 2008 he brought (which would have been 5 years old) was fantastic.

Finished up coffee and switching to water.
