Still on coffee.

Took little dog to vet for vaccines. Daughter goes to dentist this afternoon for filling (fun!). Starting to pack stuff for Thanksgiving Beach Week. Haven't pickout my beer for the week yet...definitely will include NoDa Hop, Drop & Roll, and home brews: Citra and Hi-Nelson Saisons, Robust & Coffee Robust Porters, Scottish Pumpkin Ales, American Amber w/Local Cascade hops, and a few Caramel Apple Ciders. Supposedly, one of my brothers in-law is bringing some Westvleteren 12 from 2008. I won't hold my breath, but it would be nice!

You should have a beer while working. Trust me. You'll be sharp 100% of the time.

Water after laying the smack down on my legs and shoulders.

Guinness Original again. My old Boss' mom had a pint of Guinness every night for most of her life and she lived until just shy of 100 (and still drinking a pint of Guinness every night at the local). Figure she may be on to something. Although I'm not convinced I want to live to be THAT old.

Water now.
Should be a beer. Finding out that some ******** at work failed to include me in an e-mail that really should have included me means I just made a fool of myself in a meeting with about 50 people on the line. Asshats.

I am enjoying some king like refreshment in a dive bar with nothing other than bmc. Gonna train some boys on how send an email (yes, really), and then go home and read about how to make the stout i brewed a week ago taste like dead trees and whiskey.

You'd want at least 2 years on it then. 1 year will still have significant smoke although it smoothes out somewhat. The 2008 he brought (which would have been 5 years old) was fantastic.

Finished up coffee and switching to water.

My bottle is 2012 and I have no problem sitting on it for 2-3 more years. ;)

I was in a dive bar last week, but I was drinking De Struise and Lost Abbey ;)

More water (which of course means an increasing frequency of bathroom breaks :D ) as I ponder my home-brew club's latest email. We have a comp in the spring (early March) and this year it will be popular vote from members, no judges. The comp is called 'Winter Brews Competition' so there is an implication of traditional winter styles. The one requirement is to use chocolate (nibs/powder, not the malt.) The easy thought would be to do a chocolate milk stout (a la Moo-Hoo) which would be tasty but I'm thinking most would do it. So I'm kind of leaning toward doing a chocolate IPA - with mostly late addition/dry hopping of Apollo, Amarillo and Summit to give it some orange flavoring. What do you guys & gals think would be the better brew? I'm not worried about it not being a traditional 'winter brew' since I'm sure most of the votes will go to the best/most interesting beer.

I say roll the dice with the ChIPA (TM, but I'll let you borrow it).

Want to but this price is screaming pass.

I have tried to get this the last two years and every November I go to get it and its sold out!! If you dont buy this and enjoy it for me I will hunt you down!

Ok that might have been a little harsh but I have been dying to try this and it makes me upset I can't get it.
