Just got these new glasses in - - or "glassware" - - they were created from (evidently) years of research to create the PERFECT glass for enjoying IPAs and other really hoppy brews. The goblet concentrates the hop aroma, the thin glass does not absorb the cold (I know, not a scientifically correct statement) which keeps the brew close to pouring temperature, the ridges and heavy bottom maintain control, and the ample top space allows a proper head to form. Expensive at $10 each, and are they better than the standard thick glass tumblers you get at most brewpubs? Yes on the better, but maybe not at the price.

Not sure that glass makes a big difference. That is just my opinion.

I got mine for $5. :p

Hb chocolate porter... This one was with San Francisco lager yeast....I've done 3 batches with San Fran lager.... I think its a terrible yeast

I love that yeast, but I only use it for California Commons and Baltic Porters. I ferment around 58F with it, ramp up to room temp when it's almost finished, then lager it for about 2 weeks (which it technically shouldn't need, but I have found it helps). I always get a nice, clean fermentation from it but I double pitch over what I would with a typical ale yeast.

Drinking water for now, celebratory brews later though.

Coff Stout.

For some reason, this glass makes it taste like Heady Topper. Really makes the aroma come out, too, I'd say. This glass makes miracles happen.
