First sample pour of my partially carbed HB Coffee Amber Ale, kegged on Sunday. Strong coffee is the predominant flavor. I'm expecting (hoping) it will mellow over time.
Some hb’d cold ipa courtesy of @RCope . Really really nice. Solid flavor and aroma and a beautifully clean ferm profile. All in his personalized willi glass
Finished bottling 2 brews today, decided I needed a treat. Thought about inviting the neighbor to help drink the crowler, then thought better. I decided to drink it all myself.
Large size HB Bock. Had our weekly winter storm today and need a beer after driving on black ice and snowy county roads all day. At least we didn’t get the weather they had in northwest Nebraska along the SD border.
Drinking the crap out of my English Dark Mild while smoking pastrami. I need to kill the keg so my English brown can go on. At under 4%, I can almost drink it non-stop.
A few years ago, Paste magazine did a blind taste test of American Light Lagers. This one scored 15th out of 30 beers sampled. One taster’s comment was “…this just barely meets the minimum requirements to be considered beer”. I wouldn’t disagree…
Another one from the 12 Beers of Christmas. Forgot to mention, this had a delightful lemon-citrus flavor to go with the dark malts. Not overwhelming in any characteristic, nicely balanced. Low carbonation, but somehow I liked this still and think effervescence would actually get in the way.
