How did you get fig into the beer? Can you taste it? How strong is it?

The times I tried to brew with dates they pretty much contributed nothing, but figs sound intriguing.

Had that at the brewery when I was in Cooperstown for induction weekend a few years ago. I want to say that they served it a bit colder than 50F. Quite enjoyed it either way.

I used to live about 90 minutes from Brewery Ommegang. Always loved stopping in there when in Cooperstown. They hold a Waffles and Puppets event every fall that's a real fun time.

Electric Reaper 'non-filtered' IPA, by local New Level Brewing Co. - looks pretty darn clear to me! Not a whole lot of flavour, almost lager-like. Hmmm. Refreshing and a crushable 6.5%, but kinda plain. Still a nice beer, and glad to support local brewers. Cheers!

Dead Moon Night Imperial stout, by local Dandy Brewing Co., 2022 vintage. This is quickly becoming one of my favourites...deep coffee, smoky charcoal and malt flavours are there and it's a healthy 10%, but not boozy at all. Good thing I'm only tying flies this afternoon...there's 3 more in the fridge! Cheers!

Done my 12.5 hours on Saturday - Trying the first bottle of 2022s English barleywine. Still not fully carbonated. This is going to be great once it is.

Lots of water. Got my shots yesterday at the vet, er, Dr., but the corned beef smells divine in the pot for having had to wait that extra day.

Belgian strong ale. This is good! Bubblegum, spice, malt, a little sweetness, a little boozy, bottle re-fermented. First sips were a bit bitter for my taste but as I continued sipping that faded (could it be the 10.5% abv taking effect?). Good lacing. Very nice beer, a bit pricey at $6 per bottle but worth it to me.
