Aaaand this one’s a dubbel, but then I freeze concentrated it to ~12% ABV. Looks pretty similar; tastes different.

Really small nano brewery a couple of towns over. I dont even think they sell directly to the public. Base their recipes on historical research.

Not bad. A little high on the carb but tastey. Might pick up the porter to try next

Korean rice beer, called makgeolli. One of the weirder things Ive ever had.

Hi Falstaf, I’m a newbie, couldn’t tell from this old post if you ever made your own makgeolli. I have and it’s much different home made then the commercial stuff.

Have some basil I need to use before the frost gets it. Muddled some with one of my ciders. Pretty tasty so I think I'll work on a small batch to dial in the flavor. edit - added a touch of vanilla and that combination is very good!
