A little Irish in a fancy plastic cup from North Carolina and some ibuprofen before bed. I really tweaked my shoulder muscles and my ulnar nerve shooting my bow yesterday. I kinda over did it for my first time shooting in a long time.

Something from the Leinie lodge while vacationing in Wisconsin at a lake house my sister found. This place has 6 distinct seating areas - glassed in "porch", deck, firepit, glassed in boathouse a pier with benches and a raft all of which seat at least 10 each. You could easily host an MTV party at this place, and there's 5 of us.

This is Girls Camp week at my house. Granddaughter and 4 nieces ages 13 to 17, my wife and her 2 sisters. Hence my trip to Huntsville to sample beers!

At Straight to Ale
L to r: cream ale (nice mouth feel), citrus ale (touch of orange), rye gose (touch of peppercorn), blackberry lemon gose (nice, light flavor of each). Good brews.

It appears I brewed myself a hazy!

Not really, this is just the first pull of my warm and pressure fermented hoppy lager. It has a lot of lagering to do!

L to r: pilsner (interesting little sweetness); American blonde ale (with an herbal spice from Santiam (Oregon), an interesting flavor I just can't quite describe); Tea-Rex saison with orange, coriander, Earl Grey and blackberries (better on draft for sure); and a tropical IPA (not an IPA guy, buy try one occasionally to see if I've expanded my pallette...I haven't).

Iron Horse Irish Death. A “dark, smooth ale”. That it is. From the brewery’s website it sounds like a kind of quirky operation.

Kettlehouse White Stout while heating strike water for a Blonde Ale.

Vermouth, neat. It's not very good, but it's not that bad either. (I was at the liquor store and they had some in the closeout bin and I was curious about it) It's Lionello extra-dry white, imported from Italy, and it's not nearly as herbal as I expected. I won't buy it again.
