Anyone familiar with any restaurants/bars that serve craft beer in West Jefferson? We're heading out that way soon and trying to find some places... I called what I was told was a nice/really good pizza place out there and asked if they had craft beers and he said YES! I got excited...

I said cool, what do you carry?

Bud Light, Miller Light, Coors Light etc etc.. then he stopped..

I said.. "ok, what about the craft beers?" he said "that's all the craft beers we have" haha end of conversation...

anyways.. just wondered if any of you have been out that way or live there..

I know there are a couple of places in Boone, but doubt the crowd will want to drive that far from where we are staying since we'll be driving like 30 minutes to get to West Jefferson...

Thanks for any tips!

I checked it out on Google Maps, and it looks like it's kinda isolated. I'm not sure that you'll find much there unless you drive a bit. I've never been there, though, so I could be wrong.

Your closest bet is Boone. Abingdon, VA has some options but appears to be a further drive. If you are coming from Mount Airy there are no short deviations to Nirvana. Mount Airy is due North of Winston Salem, though and there is a city that loves some craft beer.
