Anyone have any ideas for something to brew (AG) now to give as gifts for Christmas? I'd like to do something that would benefit from aging for 6 months like maybe a stout. But something "Christmas-y" would be nice. Thinking about making labels and having the bottles look presentable rather than the standard anonymous brown bottle.

Any thoughts? I suspect there are many out there who have done the same?

This time of year I usually do the same thing - I try to make the biggest batch of something possible, and then split it and age part on oak (or bourbon-soaked oak) and the rest neutral. That's a fun gift to give people - a tasting session!

Heck I just made my Oktoberfest batch, never hurts to plan in advance. Especially if aging is involved. :)
