Anyone here play Naval Action?

http://www.navalaction.com

It's an open-world naval combat game with ships from the around the 17th to 19th centuries.

Great game. Currently in beta.

Destiny was problem the most disappointing game I have ever played. My friend loved it and convinced me to get it. Spent $60, played it for 3 or 4 hours and never picked it up again. I tried to like it but it sucked. The actual story was crap. The campaign and leveling was just grinding all on the same maps with the same objectives. It was just terrible. Online wasn't terrible when I played it but I didn't like how higher level players could kill you so easily. Online should either be different from your regular character or have ranked play so you play people on the same level as you. I think it may be the worst $60 I have ever played.

.

Destiny was horrible. It got worse once you got to level 20. 2014 was mostly a bad year for games, at least for hyped games. I'd be with you on Destiny being the worst money spent, but I was stupid enough to buy The Crew even after Ubisofts disastrous sham of a year.

I never played the Farcry series but picked up FarCry3 on steam the other day for $5. Been addicted to this game, love it.

How does FarCry4 compare?

For me it just didn't have the feel of the 3rd game, even though it's basically the same. I couldn't be bothered with most of the side missions and I didn't really feel part of the fight with the locals. It's a good game for sure, but It kinda made me wanna go back and play 3.

Started playing Dishonored a few weekends ago. It's fun enough I suppose, but I don't see what all the hype was about. Pretty much just feels like Deus Ex: Human Revolution set in industrial revolution era Europe.

Dishonored was good because there wasn't much else at the time to draw any interest. Games was fun to look at but not challenging enough often enough.

I tried some naval action once. Wife said she's not ported for that.

Started playing this war of mine. its super depressing so i stopped. shows the collateral side of the war and ppl trying to survive.

That actually sounds very interesting. Depressing, but interesting. Like a mash up of wargames with SimCity.

Thanks for reminding me. I'm putting Destiny on eBay today lol

I picked up the Last of Us for the PS3. Trying to jumpstart my interest in video games again. Played it a little bit, but also dusted of my Nintendo DS. Been playing Zelda: Phantom Hourglass.

Good times.

I've been playing lots of Battlefield 3 on PS3 lately. Great game. Helps to have high quality speakers and turn it up... Gotta use headphones when wife is home, though.

If anyone wants to form a squad or play any multiplayer mode with me, add me on PSN. My PSN handle is Tiber_83. I'm not terribly good nor competitive, and I don't have a mic, but it's a great late night drunken way to pass time.

Not sure buddy but if anyone plays Advanced Warfare on playstation and wants to join a clan I have a group of east coast dudes that like to get drunk and play.

I haven't picked up AW yet because I heard it was buggy. I'm on the fence, currently. If I do, I'll post up here again and see about getting my butt kicked online.

off topic: I was a UGNX jockey for 6 years :mug:

I've heard good things about AW but compared to ghosts I'm sure anything would be an improvement. I just finished walking dead season one and 2 and can't wait for season three. It's definitely not a game for everyone, but I think I care more about the game now then the show. Currently waiting for Alien isolation to get here from gamefly, heard mixed things but I'm a huge fan of the films (not counting the avp movies [maybe the first one. .. maybe]) and the premise of the game sounds awesome

Watched a friend play isolation. It looked fun if you're into sitting in a dark room by yourself with a slow, suspenseful game.

I haven't played AW since the first week. I liked the game but way too buggy. The worst release I have seen in a while. I need to try again.

Its super depressing man. Your ppl are always sad, tired, hungry and you pretty much try to survive by scavenging and trading. some times you get looted, somes times youre the looter.

I got a bunch of food from this one house and i was all happy i could feed my ppl but then my dude is all sad cause hes thinking about the ppl he stole the food from and how they gonna survive.

Alien Isolation? It is suspenseful. But too slow, IMO. I lost interest pretty quickly because it is so slow. There is no fighting back the Xeno, there is no running. If it sees you, you are dead. So, the game creeps because the Xeno shows up everywhere you go.

Oh yeah, I did not enjoy watching. I honestly can't stand most games with a story or campaign, especially if it is so linear. I'd much rather jump on for an hour, wreck shop, be done for the day.

I love campaigns. Achieving the next goal forces my OCD to overide my ADD.

Just noticed this thread...My fiancee and I were facetiming with her parents on the other coast this week and they are putting together stuff to bring when they drive out for the wedding in June. Her mom pulled out a few tubs with an NES, a Sega Genesis, a Gamecube, an N64, and I think an Atari 2600. And an original Game Boy. All with games. She was all like, I was going to throw these away but I forgot and they got stuffed in the closet...do you want them? I was drooling. Best wedding present EVAR.

So... you're saying you want to donate them to me?

Ugh. I went away to college, came back a month later on break to visit only to find out my mother did the opposite. She sold a box of my Commodore / Atari / NES and SNES with over 100 games, at a yard sale. $20.

A little piece of me died that day.

Ill trade some homebrews for the Sega Genesis!

Certain SNES and N64 games are super valuable collectors items. Check ebay for prices. I sold my N64, 8 games and some random accessories for $350. I sold several SNES games for about $250.

On that note of someone finds a working master blaster cartridge let me know. Picked one up at the flea market and it's toast

Talk about nostalgia, this thread has me reminiscing about the last real arcade game I ever played and yes, it was quite a while ago but I remember it vividly

Circa 1984?

Apple 2 or 2gs (super hi-res)

There's an island in middle of lake/ocean, and you have to take the island
You are on jetski or something like that.
The island is protected by robots and mystical figure

if you hit the robots, you could either bounce away from it or be blown up

CANNOT for the life of me remember the actual name of the game

Finally grabbed Diablo III for the PS3 and have been playing that whenever I can find the time. Just like old times.

I've been playing D3 for what...three years now? A lot of people have a lot of complaints, for me.. it has been worth every penny. I sadly have a copy of D3 on PC, PS3 and PS4 and ultimate evil edition. They got their money out of me.

Counterstrike was even worse. I had a spray that was a porn pic that said "I'm bad at Counterstrike... but great with your mom"
