I haven't ever taken my "brewing" seriously, however I wanted to graduate from baker's yeast. I got a gallon of cider and let it go naturally, which is still fermenting. I was wondering if it would work to pour some out to use as a yeast in a different batch. Would the yeast that is actively fermenting be able to work if I were to pour some of it into something such as a gallon of natural grape juice or something similar? I know there is a brewing store a the next town over from me and I could create something that is somewhat tolerable, but Im too cheap and lazy to do so. Just wanted to know if it could work.
