I read the wiki article on yeast washing but am unclear on how you fill the large Jar from the Carboy then fill the small jars from the large jar. Do you use a small piece of hose as a siphon? If so how do you start it as sucking on the end would not be sterile?

Use sanitized funnels if you need to. You could practice the pouring procedure with some water first and will probably find out a funnel is not necessary. Just an idea. A siphon is probably taking it to an extreme.

So you just dump from the carboy to the larger bottle. Let that sit 20 minutes, then dump thath into the smaller jars?

That's what I did seemed to work pretty well. Just washed my first yeast a few days ago. Thought about the siphon but didn't want to clean more stuff.
