Hi everyone,
Just was curious to see what different people are doing with this yeast because im bored and like hearing varying opinions. US 05 is my favorite yeast. Has been for a long time, not that im very educated and experienced with yeasts, but because ive never made a beer i didnt like with it and have never once had an issue with it. I am fermenting a blonde right now and have my ranco set at 62 with a 3 degree diff, which hovers the temp around 63-64 consistently, and gives me a liquid temp of 66. Ill leave it here until fermentation settles down a bit (on day 2 now) and then bump up the temp a degree or two, to sit around 65 degrees for another week to two weeks to clean things up a bit. This has been my routine for my ales since day one of having temp control and i really like what the end result is with this yeast. So, what do you guys like doing with US 05??
