Uh oh... Starter Problem.

I think I messed up... was going to make a 1.5 liter starter for a beer with 1.055 OG but I used 9ounces of DME... am I hosed or what?

Do you have any containers to split the batch up into and dilute it?

I have it in a gallon milk jug. I'm starting to boil more water as we speak.

Actually, 1.5 liters with 9 oz of dme will give you a sg of 1.055 or so. I actually just ran it as .5 lbs (8 oz) and it came out fine. You might want to have a target of 1.040 i/o 1.055 for a starter. I would add an extra .5L to dilute it down some anyways.
