I've got second year Columbus that have sidearms growing all over the bine and was wondering if they should be trimmed. I've tried training some of them but it's starting to get a little crowded. Should I trim some at the top? Bottom? All of them?

Side arms are GOOD!! Do not cut them!
You will be sacrificing your crop if you cut them. Either train them or let them grow wild but either way don't cut them off.

Sidearms are where the vast majority of your hops grow. When mine get unruly, I'll just wind them back into the main bine loosely. This will allow space for the cones to develop, while not scratching my face when I go to turn on my pool filter. The more sidearms, the more hops you'll get.
