Wife will be on a work trip to Stockholm in late-March. Asked if I wanted to tag along and it took me a few seconds to realize I could spend my time at Akkurat while she is working. Finalizing travel details over the next few weeks, but if anyone is down for some tip touching I have delicate hands. Will bring beer too for some bottle sharing.

This thread and a few others will come in handy.

Finalizing travel details over the next few weeks, but if anyone is down for some tip touching I have delicate hands. Will bring beer too for some bottle sharing.

With some luck bottles of Cantillon Super Blend and Soleil Batch 3 will still be available for drink-in at Akkurat.
There are several other good beer places in town but if you want to dome those 'loons...

HenrikO are these outdated or something? When I was in Norway last year I couldn't find whiskey for anything less than like 80 kr..

If I remember right, the price for whiskey was for a "fingers" worth.

The prices are for 1 centiliter pours which I believe is about 1/3 oz? I kind of liked the small pours though since you could sample more variety without getting wrecked.

Akkurat is amazing though and was a highlight of our trip last month. Can't wait to go back in January!

Those prices are per centiliter. A 'normal' size drink is 4 centiliters. So take all those prices times four.

Well my trip moved up. I will be in Stockholm from February 11th to 14th and then traveling to Copenhagen for the 14th through 19th ish.

A small contingent of SoCal's f̶i̶n̶e̶s̶t̶ wurst including angry_lobster, phantastiic, myself, and some others will be in Stockholm from 1/23 - 1/25. Our plan is to spend most of our time at Akkurat (real original I know), but would love to touch tips if possible as well!

Looks like I'm attending a wedding in Copenhagen in late August. I'd love to turn this into a much longer trip but I almost feel spoiled with choices. I'm not sure how many events I'll be obliged to attend that are wedding-related but I suspect I would be in Copenhagen for at least 4 days. Beyond that, though... I'm completely open to suggestions.

If I fly Icelandair, I can tack on an extended layover in Reykjavik. Do I want to do that? Or do I stick around Scandinavia? Or go south to Germany? Or Belgium?! I know parts of Europe empty out, basically, for all of August - will I find that as much in Eastern Europe? Will it matter?!

Also, why did my cousin wait until, practically, the last minute to schedule his wedding?!

I would definitely do an extended layover in Iceland. Copenhagen is a great city, just got back, you can hit all the good museums, food spots, sights and beer places in three to four days. Stockholm is a short flight and a longer train ride, so you can tick Akkurat. Then skip over to Belgium.

Did a similar trip a couple of years ago, got cheap tix to Copenhagen and home via Stockholm on SAS. In between we went to Germany, Netherlands, Belgium and France. There are lots of low cost airlines that you can fly around Europe on too.

If you go this route, check out Brussels Air. We're flying them this spring CPH --> BRU for $65. Half the price of a train and only a 90 minute flight.
