How the feck are they not?

And poutine, chili cheese etc are not a type of fry, that's a fry with something added ontop of it.

Then you have regular, homemade, fresh cut, frozen...not exactly specific types of fries either. What's next, McDonalds, Burger King, Red Robin all being individual types of fries?

I was scrounging around the kitchen last night at about midnight. Couldn't find anything to eat. I opened the freezer, and there was a half a bag of tater tots. I immediately thought of this thread. I fried up some bacon and crumbled it on top of the tots, heated the tots, and popped them in the oven with some cheddar cheese.

Sounds like irish nachos i make every so often... although i don't eat meat / dairy anymore... i'll find a way to make it happen! LOL

Steak fries (or tots in this case) covered in cheese, green onions, slather on the shredded corn beef, some bacon, top with more cheese and serve with sour cream on the side.

Usually it's a treat served for st patricks day... but really works out anytime.

Had some "tots'" for lunch. The texture really isn't like a tot, almost like a hushpuppie really. Outside is battered, but inside is all potato/jalapeno/cheese. They're absolutely incredible.

We usually have the crispy crowns for breakfast. I like more crispy outside than a regular tot
