so today while brewing i realized that i made a typo on my order for my premixed and crushed grains from brewmasters warehouse. instead of 1.5 lbs of crystal 60 i ordered 2.5 lbs. ive never seen anyone use this much. is it going to have a huge effect on my beer?

Some of the best beers were made by mistake!!!*

* note: not necessarily true... but it sounds like it could be.

Its affect will depend on how big a percentage of the grainbill it is. 2.5 pounds of crystal in a 10 pound grainbill will be different than 2.5 pounds in a 16 pound grainbill.

You could just double your batch size...problem solved. Or, brew with it anyway and see what happens.

If you're only brewing for your own consumption, it's just right. If you plan to enter competition, you may lose points for not being to style.
