Is that a 5 gallon carboy? Looks like you used your secondary carboy as a primary and your primary bucket for blow-off.
looks fine but yes, you used the secondary 5 gallon carboy as the primary instead of the 6.5 gallon bucket. 5 gallons is not large enough to handle a 5 gallon batch as you are finding out
Also do a search on using secondary, you'll find most people don't usually use them unless they are adding fruit or oak or bulk conditioning a large beer
You are probably right. I bought a kit which came with the primary bucket and bottling bucket but I read plastic breaks down over time and carboys are better. Not knowing I thought a 5 gallon Carboy would work so i bought that but I was wrong so the need for a blow off tube was needed so I used the bucket. So yea it's a little reversed lol.
Probably going to need a bigger Carboy. I don't plan on going to a secondary for this batch.
