They call it "Domestic Beer

I was bar tending today and I always chuckle to myself when they ask for " Domestic Beer". I tell them most all the beers they see here are brewed in the U.S.A.
I know what they mean, they want that piss they are used to drinking, which we do not stock...ever. My boss wants to introduce customers to new craft beers and we have huge selection of fine tasting beer.
When I give them a Peroni or something else that is new to them they usually say, "oh that tastes really good". It is good to venture out of the comfort zone.

Serve them a Budweiser (czechvar) and enjoy explaining to them about why it's called that.

Just suggesting as it sounded like you don't mind ruffling a few feathers...

I've only ever had Peroni when in Italy, and I found it refreshingly dry and effervescent - but otherwise nearly devoid of character.
But, we never went to Italy for the beer, so it was ok
