Dan talked of a fruited brown sour (maybe something with bourbon barrels?) for Great Taste and lambics in the fall. To all 20 of us in line.

Interesting. Wild Peach with a different fruit?

I suspect the base beer for Wild Peach is easier to make than the base beer for VSB. Maybe not though.

Saw this posted on the other site. ZFG. No matter what the back story here, it just makes the guy look like a schmuck.

was this one of those deals where they were releasing X number of bottles each day and when no one showed up yesterday they just started selling as many as people wanted?

Not to my knowledge. You probably could have double dipped if you wanted to, but the policy was 2 bottles per person per day. NG never posted anything to the contrary when no one showed up.

I'd guess they'd just keep rolling the bottles over to the next day, still enforcing the 2 bottles per person per day rule, until all bottle are gone. Might be beneficial should a horde of FIBs show up on Saturday.

This year's Berliner Weiss is not as refreshingly tart as prior incarnations. Still very good, good wheat and white wine flavors, but the tartness just isn't at the level it's been in the past. :(

It tastes like aged saison brett, but hoppy....in a good way for me at least. I imagine it will go the way of golden ale if cellared long term.

let's not do. this. here.

Looks like Metropolitan and Uinta are now distributing to WI. Milwaukee area anyway.

Both will probably get lost on the shelves, but I do love me some Metropolitan.

Well there goes my trade fodder (Metropolitan) for @wisconsinality (and someone from the Milwaukee area get Kiley on TalkBeer).

Hoping that Wild Bitter lasts until the weekend, I'm gonna be at NG on Saturday and wanna try it.

I look forward to hearing people bitch about freshness dates on even more IPAs....
