I'll be popping a couple again this year.
This is our 4th year for Zwanze

Thinking I'll bring a couple bottles with me...likely a VR since the last one I had was mostly just faded vanilla and a lot of rye....so might as well drink it....and then like an hommage, because we won't have nearly enough lambic in our systems already.

I have a 2012 or 2014 Iris that I would love to pop. Maybe I'll bring that.

Who brings non-lambic to Zwanze? I'm bringing a Fou Foune and Lou Pepe Framboise.

I do...0 *****!
:p

It's just beer

Home Brewing Magic Bus is just what the doctor ordered. Giving me those old Alpine-esque West Coast IPA feels.
The hop presence (or lack thereof) in that beer seriously disappointed me. No aromatics or flavor, just bitter.

Just finished dinner at Ponce's. Saw one guy fall off a stool and then faceplant trying to stand out of a booth. Another guy ate **** about 7 steps after walking out the front door. All before 11pm. I've never missed the responsible clientele of toronado who at least know how to hide extreme inebriation until a legally exonerating distance away from a bar as much as tonight.

All things considered, it was a bunch of old dudes getting white girl wasted on $5 margaritas. We had an enjoyable meal, just felt bad for the bartender taking care of two folks who couldn't handle their ****. We walked out past one of them and suggested the ken club as a place he could probably still get served.

I've only been to Zwanze at Bagby once before, but my impression is that the event is about lambic and they allow you to bring appropriate bottles, not that it's a random bottle share. But I could be wrong ....

The circle of life....

That is why I have the Hommage with me. Had to go through the fridge but managed to find an EU bottle of it. Sadly it is only the 2015 release, I guess I drank my older ones already.

Ha, I couldn't even fit the VR in my bag either. I really should invest in one of those Yeti bags instead of the Bruery growler bag....or I should stop muling for ppl. So I guess all I am bringing is lambic and then a slew of the Mikkeller shake cans for friends that needed that mule service.
