Zwanze was one of the best, most chill beer events I've ever been to. Would get severe lambic farts again
Yeah, awesome event. No lines, plenty of everything to go around, great service from the staff, nice bonus pours from Bagby. Nice meeting you, arren.

I haven't drank so much lambic in one day except when I was in Belgium.

After Toro did NPBC for Oktoberfest. We have a legit line up of good beer here in SD. Societe, Eppig, and even NPBC are making legit ******* lagers.

Also closed out at Seven Grand because $6 old fashioned playaaaaaaaaaaaa
Had that Zwickel Heiress yesterday at Societe, man it's too damn good.

Eppig is releasing a Pils next week...

I talked with Billski at the QUAFF Oktoberfest. They are going open on Saturday. Several IPAs, a witbier, some kettle sours, and a stout or porter to start. Might have been another beer I can't remember.

I think my weekend is free, might have to cruise by.

So you guys liked the Zwanze '17 event, but how was the actual Zwanze '17 beer?
I think the consensus was if you liked tea, you liked it - but if you hated tea, you despised it.

I thought it tasted like the world's best shandy/Arnold Palmer, made with Cantillon Classic and black tea. It was lacking in depth, but the funk definitely came out a lot more as it warmed - which is how it was recommended to be consumed.

The best Cantillon we had there was probably the Vigneronne - had a great fruit backbone and depth to it. Best beer we had was probably the b1 A&G that was popped after the festivities.

I would say the A&T that you brought around was the best beer I had at the event.

I agree with your review of the Zwanze '17.

I do wish we had more pours since I was definitely enjoying the St. Lam...of course the pour sizes were quite nice.

That was incredible too; I don't think I've had a lambic that complex in a while.

Yeah, I enjoyed the St. Lam too. And it was super generous for Jeff to walk around and pour some vintage bottles. Dat 2003 LPK was something else.

Ftfy, and it was my favorite loon of the day.

I thought zwanze beer was great, even got another pour of it, nath was another standout for me.
Bagby's is always awesome.
