Was just at PP Carlsbad and LC is good. But bottle shops not open till 4pm!!! Wtf!!!

That would give you enough time to deal with friday fair traffic to make it to Alesmith to buy a 6pk out of the fridge and almost get back to Carlsbad in time before your wife noticed you were gone.

I told you they didn't open around lunch the other day. :p

Today's Thursday:oops:

  • If the Cubs are in town, go to Wrigleyville and bum around the ****** bars.
  • Check out Safehouse (google it to prepare yourself)
  • For pizza, I really liked Pequod's. There is a bar next door called Drinkingbird that is pretty damn good. Get a drink while you wait to get sat (which may take a while on a Fri / Sat night)
  • You should go to Portillo's at least once - bring an antacid...
  • The two tiki bars are great, if you like that scene: Three Dots and Dash, and Lost Lake.
Adding Sheffields, Delilah, Liars Club and Small Bar

Seriously, anything at AleSmith that isn't, "******* delicious", by your standards? And yes, we all know you, "didn't love Thai Speedway".
Let's be honest, I don't love AleSmith. But I know they make fantastic beer, I just tend to discredit your opinion because you can't seem to be objective (ever). And get on their payroll, you deserve it.

Whoa...someone needs to go have a pint or something. So lets dissect your hatred towards me and my inability to be objective for a minute. I only speak of beers I enjoy. You will notice, that until today, I never once spoke of ESB, Lil Devil (this one I might have but would have been the tart version), regular Old Numbskull, Evil Dead Red, Liquid Smoke Speedway (again, I might have spoke of this but it would have been in the negative), My Bloody Valentine (of course if I don't like Evil dead Red there is no reason I should have liked this one), Wee Heavy, the Alesmith/Mikkeller IPA back on when it was the Observation Room, non-BA Olde Ale, the Double Red, Yulesmith (although it is the same thing as Double Red), and Grand Cru....just to name a few.

I drink speedway, and speedway variants so I have no reason to drink the other stuff, thus no reason to comment on things that I would be ill-informed about to give a proper review.

Also as for my "******* delicious"....it was in reference to Full Metal Burgers that just so happened to be setup for lunch today at Alesmith. So the burger was ******* delicious, as it would be wherever they set up because I enjoy what they make. It was also nice to find out that they recently acquired a trailer and are in the process of getting all the permits necessary for it so that they can continue to serve food once the law against popups fully goes into effect. I thought that law had, but maybe not.

So first thing....read. Second thing...unbunch your panties and read again. Third, as I said at the beginning of this post, go grab a pint since it seems like you had a rough day and might be needing it. =)

Edit: And to your point of getting on the payroll....lets be real here, they nor any other brewery here can afford me based on what I do and what I could bring to the table from my current skillset.

Forgive me, because there's not hatred towards you.

It's frustrating to see you constantly sing praises of a place that, 1)doesn't treat their employees well and 2)has previously punished their employees for the very things you brag about on here.

I apologize and am currently "having a pint" that you suggested. I do get defensive, but maybe if you had more than "new AleSmith" history, you'd understand where I'm coming from.

EDIT: I am certainly not the first one to bring up your homerism re: AleSmith!

Cheers
