What a weird way for this all to play out. The comments were incredibly recent, no way they would've led to immediate shut down. The guy's just taking crazy pills.

Seems like it's more of a cop out than anything. Feels bad shutting it down because it was probably failing anyway, but now at least it's someone else's fault.

I had the 2015 Velvet Speedway at the Alesmith member party. Was good, but was also well past its prime. I seem to recall having a more recent vintage, also at the member party, that I liked more.

Not super helpful, I know, but at least it's a little information to work with.

Oh I totally get it, but they are a blast. There is something about legally drinking in a public park during the day that has a special charm to it.

It's like tailgating; there's something fun about day drinking in a parking lot. Doesn't make sense on paper, but it works.
