The sad day finally Arrived

So by some miracle I have been using the same hydrometer since 1992. I did take a 25 year break from brewing ,but yesterday the inevitable happened and I will be shopping for a new one. Hope to get 25 years out of my next one

Look at it this way, it is never a question of if but when your hydrometer finally breaks. Congratulations and welcome to the club!

My first one broken was probably within the first month brewing. Grabbed it by the stem and shook it to dry it off.. Snap!

Ive gone through a few now myself.. one of the reasons I use refractometers whenever convenient.

Broke my first one a month ago as well. Shaking it off I hit something and it snapped. Figured if I bought two this time I would never break another one. Fingers crossed.
