consider yourself lucky. coffee is scarce

Oh I know. I only wanted a four pack of coffee and four pack of BW so not a huge deal. Hopefully I'll find the BW around. It's just a hike from where I live haha

Was gone in < 20 minutes from my local. Surprising...you would think everyone would be after the Barleywine since its shiny and new/KH comparison.

Just got a coffee and barleywine (1 of each) at Astoria Bier & Cheese. Love that place and I really wish it was there when I lived in Astoria. They had a case of each as far as I could tell, 1 per on each. Had about 5-6 cases of regular with seemingly no limit. FYI, anyone not familiar with the N/Q, the queens bound N/Q doesnt stop at Broadway so you have to take it to Astoria Blvd. and then go backwards to Broadway (or walk a mile).

beermenus has it at 7.25? That accurate? Seems gougy

At Noble Grains for 7.59 a bottle. 2pp. They way I see it, we were paying at least $15 for a bomber last year so the price doesn't bother me that much.

Noble Grains is sold out of coffee and bwine. Oh well... When will all this be available at Whole Foods?

Triboro sold out in less than an hour and they are a bit of a trek unless you love close by. This is the new norm it seems.
And I believe Astoria Beer and Cheese is out of the usual suspects as well. Hate this new reality.

I can't believe Triboro sold out that fast. I guess I was lucky to be in Chicago last weekend.

I feel like it's been this way in NYC for a while now. Any decent limited release sells out within hours

Yeah I actually (stupidly) thought I'd grab some there tomorrow on my way to work. On the up side, from what I've seen, the regular bcbs is in good supply and very delicious.

gregkoko yeah I would agree its been like this since 2010ish? But the farther out spots usually held down a supply for at least a day. I wonder if Community Bev. Got any...haven't been there in years.

It seems to be sporadically popping up in random places. From what I've heard from one distributor, the salespeople are personally delivering the cases. Not going on the actual trucks

I will stop by Community at some point on or before Saturday but I doubt they have any as they have been out of favor for a long time. Still.. it seems like NYC did not get much of everything like prior years.

popped one of my 2 bottles of coffee tonight (and a regular 2013) and i can say that i'm glad i was able to find the barleywine over the coffee. coffee is nice, but it being the hardest to find seems in line with my preferences for the flavor profiles of the 3 beers. damn, dat barleywine though.

Didnt get a chance to try this year's coffee but I am with you big time on the barleywine. That is one smooth-ass, tasty beer.

Yeah I'm hoping I can put together a four pack of barleywine over the next few days. Date tonight, so no way I can go out after work. Selfishly hoping it hits tomorrow, hah.

maybe GuisseppeFranco can help get him here?
that's pretty fantastic. i had one of joey's home brews courtesy of Nick and was fairly impressed. anyone know if this beer will hit our shelves?

I hear it's getting the full on Westbrook/12% distribution! His pixelated face should be gracing all our shelves soon :)

My guess is he's just too busy handling all of his **** at Luksus. I don't think he's on the other site either at this point.

Last I remember he was running their social presences as well. That's a full-time job in its own right. So yeah, I'd say he's busy.

I'll tell him and his nose to get on here already next time I talk with him.

He went and brewed it a few weeks ago so yeah, it should be around in no time. I hope they went with large format bottles to fit that entire schnoz.

I don't believe he's ever been in charge of that stuff. I know Kim takes care of IG ****.

Anybody else going to be at the NYC Brewer's Guild event tonight @ the Brooklyn Brewery?

Need to pick up some bubble wrap/packing tape for a quick trade. You guys go anywhere in Williamsburg or just typically order off Amazon? Thinking I may have to pop down to the Target in Atlantic Center
