I always used to find it amusing when he and Candice used to actually come out and attempt to be social. Which for them meant sitting around looking surly, ignoring anyone unless they were either in the industry or willing to buy them a drink.

Real pieces of work.

The various discussions about the Bros take up less space on this site than discussions about sandwiches. I don't think it's a particularly big issue in terms of how much it occupies us. And there's plenty of great content going on here that's basically nowhere else, though I haven't seen you contributing too much to it...

I really don't understand the people who are posting sentiments like this. There is so much good content that this site has accumulated in a very short amount of time. Not to mention that it is so easy to avoid content that you find to be "garbage."

Things that you're not interested in aren't necessarily garbage, and there are very few forums that are really all that focused. Still, I think we've done a pretty job here considering the size of the community.

Seriously though, all of the nonsense threads are because this is more than a beer site, this is a community site. Not everyone wants to talk about beer all the time, but they like hanging out with similar people. If people are allowed to have fun they will stick around more, contribute more, and build a better environment. Otherwise the site is just a tool.

The who? I used to use BA. I came here - in 1 month Gene did more development on this site than BA in years. BA is in the past.
