Temperature issue

I'm having an issue with the readings on my PID. I have my HLT set at 152 and my manual thermometer reads 152. My mash temp reads around 156-157 with this setting. When I measure my with my manual thermometer it reads 149. If I change out my cord from my HLT and put it on my Mash probe it matches my manual thermometer at 149. Is the cord bad? Never seen this before.
