On topic, I think the OP should get a hop grenade. I love that logo (it's the brewing network logo, pic below from here). If you like hoppy beers, it's a no-brainer to me.

I was thinking of a hop cone skull with crossed mash paddles either on the back of my pathetic head or on my pathetic right forearm.

I dont know why, but when I read this all I can picture is BK walking around berry punching people with normal bad assery with his "pathetic" skulls and a goofy hoptologist looking hop cone. Dont know why, just do haha.

Ive got one not brewing related. Trying to line up my next but they are only for me and can be easily covered up. My next is a Japanese tattoo as it is where i reside and it will always be apart of my life.
But what about people who have a Tattoo of their child's name and birthday is that so disgusting?
