I am having my welder install a Tangential inlet in my boil kettle.

Would somebody with a Brewers Hardware or Stout kettle with a Tangential inlet post a picture of the inside of the kettle?

I am curious what kind of cut is required for the drilled hole - a round or rectangle.

Thank you!

Looking at the outside of a Stout suggests the hole has to be oval.

Shots of the inside and outside of a Brewers Hardware kettle seem to confirm that...

Cheers!

Fit up for welding stainless is essential.
I made mine from a 3/8" x 6" nipple with the end turned down on the lathe to make kind of a nozzle, then extended it into the kettle slightly.
