Hi all, I've been trying my hand at mead. I actually started back in Dec. However, My wife is saying that If I can't drink it, whats the point.

So in the spirit of SWMBO, does anyone have a relatively quick sweet red wine recipe that I could use to appease her beveraginal needs? :p

I have heard of

1 gallon red grape juice
1lb sugar
d47

If this will work, how long would it take to age, clear and be drinkable? My office is 64-66 F and I already know about Staggered nutrient additions. However, how much different is the process?

Pom/Bueberry is quite good, also. @ the same ratio as you have above, a little more sugar if the tartness is a bother. I use Northland Pom/Blueberry.
