The rest of the day .........who knows. Got 10 gal of all grain worsteriney brewed this morning Had the mash at 150 at 5 am. Hit all my numbers gravity 1055 volumes right on the money. Good notes are your friend for the next brew.
I welcome the start of a new week that this Sunday brings. Last week was indeed a very tough one. My dear old companion and best friend, an English Pointer named Ranger, had to be put down Wednesday night. I buried him in the yard Christmas Eve. It truly was the hardest thing I have ever done in my entire life. He is deeply loved and already sorely missed.

Well I swear, it never fails... Every year I make a big mess of pork and beans with the leftover Christmas ham bone, and every year I forget to put the beans on to soak the night before, so here I am once again doing the quick soak method while I get the other ingredients ready to go. I think I should just go ahead and add "quick soaked beans" to my recipes as I don't know that I've ever actually made it with beans soaked overnight.
