I've stumbled upon the worlds best Pilsner - Harviestoun Shiehallion (it won the WBA and it is an awesome beer). Trouble is that Harviestoun brewery is not huge so its quite hard to get. My solution is to brew it myself but I really would be struggling to nail the recipe.
Any suggestions on ingredients for an all grain brew?
The label mentions Hersbrucker hops but thats about it. It is fairly fruity for a pilsner so maybe the fermentation temps are a little higher? No buttery flavour in the beer though. And the colour is fairly light so im guessing it is mostly pilsner malt. I've added a pic from the Beer Bunker where it is rated 8/10, see link for more tasting details.
If you havent tried this beer then I seriously recommend giving it a crack.
