has anyone heard if the biere de garde, general store, has been re-brewed and might get another release in the future? trying to do a blind BdG tasting and would love to add a suarez bottle into the mix.

Man that was good. If you can find a Forest and Main Waiting On You, it might be worth adding to the mix.

So guise if I'm gonna be visiting Suarez on a Friday afternoon in the fall, where else in the area is worth visiting? My window will be kind of short, but not terrible. I intend to be at Suarez when they open at 1pm.

Sloop is also just a few minutes away from Suarez, I enjoyed a stop there when I went to Suarez. What’s your range of mobility? Can likely provide other options as well.

He's not kidding, I've heard very good things about going there. Much different than their packaged stuff you can buy in grocery stores. It's on my list of places to go.

Interesting. I presumed he was messing around.

Can go wherever. Suarez, Sloop, Hudson Valley and Equilibrium were the ones I had planned to investigate. I think Plan Bee is around there too but I dont know what their situation is.

Angry Orchard was the surprise of FoFA last year for me. Looked at the list like wtf are they doing there but everything was amazing.

Good to know for sure. We might check it out then. The wife is a big cider fan, always takes a ton home from Citizen Cider in Burlington.

He got jokes doe

I actually met Os at Angry Orchard and I'll confirm it's a great spot. Missed their tour due to my own laziness. Still, the facility is huge, there are food tents and lawn games outside, and you can drink cider in the tree house.

I said the same exact thing when Os mentioned it. But their barrel aged, mixed fermentation stuff, etc. is fabulous. Up there with Eden, Fable, etc. and if your wife likes Citizen, she'll dig AO... maybe even more.

As far as everything else is concerned, I think all the other good beer spots have been mentioned. Industrial Arts is worth a quick stop too if you have the time.

Thanks, homegirl. The wife will be pleased that there's another place for her to grab cider for sure.

I read all winter they were going to open in May. Don't know what the holdup is.

"We are still pushing through paperwork with the Town of Poughkeepsie building department" is the official communication. Last time I was up there though, Evan was talking about how one guy was approving everything and was great and then left his job (retired I think? Maybe died? I don't actually remember. I hope just retired.) and the new guy is causing them to start all over basically.

I only started paying attention to them when I heard they were doing collabs with Tom Oliver who's this god-like figure in English cider.
