Hi,
I bought a used corny ball lock and both the posts are stuuuuck. This thing had soda in it forever so guessing it's glued on sugar. For my other corny and torpedo kegs I've just used a crescent wrench or vice grip and it was fine but I am getting nowhere with these posts. I've also tried soaking it in PBW and hot tap water.
I've read a few old threads about this and they all suggested using an impact driver (?, I don't know squat about tools apparently cuz I don't know what that is), or a wrench with a super long handle for more leverage.
Are there any options besides that to get off stuck posts? Can I run pbw and sanitizer through the lines and use anyway without taking apart the posts? It holds pressure fine.
I know I could buy some tools but I have just the one keg that is stuck and the tools cost more than the keg ($25). I'm pretty close to just selling it again on craigslist. Does a deep socket or ratchet wrench actually work for getting these bloody things off?
Thanks!
