I can't help you with a specific kit, but look for one that targets an OG of 1.060 (approximately 6% ABV). Any higher than that, and it won't be a style correct ESB.

Or you can take a look at my Buckeye Burton ale recipe. Malty with a bit of sweet bite to it like the old #3 Burton of about 1890. Def in strong ale territory at 6.8%ABV.
