Bought a large pack of servomyces in what looks like your average vacuum sealed coffee pack. How do I store this once I open it? Do I have to vacuumpack it every time or will some plastic container suffice?

If it were my large brick O yeast........I would divide into pitchable amounts in vac seal bags then vaccuum seal the bags. Store the unsued vac sealed packages in the fridge.

The pack says pitch amount is 1 gram. That would take weeks to repackage.

Being a yeast nutriant that goes in the boil i would think an airtight container would be enough since it is dead yeast. I imagine dampness would be more of a concern

1 gram is way too little yeast for a 5 gallon batch. Take a look at a package of US05 or nottingham. Those are packaged in 11.5 gram packages..........
