I made a spotted cow clone from a kit over a week ago. Partial mash. It used wyeast kolsch yeast. In two days in blew the airlock off. Found it when i got home from work. cleaned sterilized airlock and replaced. It has not moved the airlock since. the star san is level across it. I cracked the bucket and peeked this morning. Thick layer of ...(brain Fart) foam uuhhmm damn whats the word not foam oh well ya know what I mean. Never saw this so long after initial start before. Its in closet sitting at 65* with a bucket of wheat to make a cranberry that is just chugging along and a carboy of cider doing its thing. Could a few hours with that little hole open actually mess up the beer or is this just the yeast? Thanx Krausen thats the damn word
