Hello,
Sitting here with my first glass of my first batch home brew. A whole grain brew wheat. I am happily suprised with the results.

I now have another type wheat in the jug. Got to say the second batch was a more complex brew but went better after the first brew learnings.

Excellent site. Very informative.

I prefer a mildly bitter, full flavor, and slightly sweet beer.
Any suggestions on a 3rd batch appreciated.
Good Brewing!! :mug:

There's lots of help here for ya!

John,
I'm just southeast of Albany. About 70 miles from Valdosta. No homebrew shop here. I went to Tallahassee for my stuff. What about Valdosta?

Mark,
An English mild! Thats new to me. I'll start looking into it. Any specific recipe you prefer?
Thanks for the suggestion.

I usually don't follow any specific recipes, but when I want to brew a particular style I just pick ingredients that fit the profile. For an English Mild here's what pick up:

- A modest amount of fermentables
- A pound or so of crystal malt (40 - 60 lovibond)
- About 5 HBU of a nice english hop for the boil
- Any amount of chocolate malt that suites me at the time
- Any english yeast that sounds good

Enjoy!
