just finished up a tweaking of my porter recipe, its 20 degrees and snowing, it was not a smart day to brew. I had trouble hitting my mash temp (wanted 156 got 152) and the first day with my new fly sparge method had quite the ups and downs (mostly downs), still, hit my gravity... next time i'll wait till its a bit warmer

Will be starting a batch of Bee Cave Brewery Haus Pale Ale in a few minutes. It's chilly out (35 degrees), the banjo burners will feel good.

Just finished back to backs.

5 gallons Ball Thumper IPA.
10 Gallons O'Fallon Gold clone. (local micro brew)

I'm tired. Time for the hot tub and a glass of Moscow Nights RIS.

Up early tomorrow to brew 10 gallons of Uncommonly Lucky from Brewing Classic Styles. Will also get 5 more gallons of EdWort's Apfelwein going at some point.

15 gallons of alcohol. Mmmmmmn.

Going to do an Arrogant Bastard clone tomorrow. Back to Extracts as my hot tub brewery is temporarily out of business as the wife moved the contents of the attic in there in prep for an addition.

I haven't done extract in a while, but crap $43 for extract for one batch. AG would have been around $15.

brewed an Old Ale on friday and found some cheap bulk grain, so hopefully the brewing will be picking up soon!

Brewing my 100% Wheat Lager right now. If it turns out as good as last time, it's going into the Longshot competition

Good luck! I hope to brew tomorrow as well, I've got everything on hand for a Bock.

Hope the rain isn't a problem. I'm under my open garage door right now. :D

No brewing for me this weekend. I bottled a Hazelmocha Cream Stout last Saturday, and brewed up a Sweet Irish Red last Sunday.

That said, I might run a few bittering experiments with some water, hops, and dandelions this weekend.

Fraggin' rain! I got soaked cleaning my gear this afternoon. Thankfully, my garage has a back door so there is no issue with the propane.

We're going tomorrow. It's coming down right now so we should have a couple of inches to tread around in. Ru Paul Common is on the way.

Just put an IPA into the fermenter. Organic pils, munich, and carafa II w/ summit and amarillo hops and scottish ale yeast.

I didn't know you could convert 100% wheat. Do you have to do something special?

Depends on weather......... I will either brew this weekend or next. I got a clone kit for Sweetwater 420 ready to go. Only issues is I got a Irish stout in the primary....

So questions is when to go to secondary?

SWMBO had a girls night out and the weather was crappy so I stopped by the LHBS on the way home from work for grain and brewed a Two Hearted Ale using a new stock of Amarillo rather than Centennial. This was my first use of Nottingham washed from a previous batch. At t +12 hr fermentation is ramping up to the vigorous stage. OG was 1.067. Beersmith indicates that if FG drops to 1.014-1.012 it will be at 7.14%. IBU came out to around 50.

Its raining like crazy here, but that's not stopping me! Cherry stout for St. Paddy's day! Its my first attempt with a fruit beer. Should be good.
