This batch of mead is only 1 day old but seems to have a big bubble in the middle with, I hope, krausen on it. I have made mead before but have not gotten this before. A big bubble seems to form and then pop and form again and again. I do not notice any bad smell either. Also I am using WLP 570 (Wyeast 1388 equivalent).

Should I be concerned or am I just worrying too much?

i would say its fine i see it happen in all of my batches, but that may be something that only happens to me due to the amount of excessive honey i put in but on the other hand it never starts up on the 1st day usually 2-4 days

Yeah I meant to put day 2 on there. I also put close to 4 pounds of honey in there (1 gallon batch) so maybe that is why it is similar to yours.
