Sierra Nevada has awesome beer

I have never been much of a Sierra Nevada drinker but have been sampling their beers lately have been really impressed! "Beer Camp" Hoppy Lager is really good - I could see myself pounding that this summer. It's a Ballast Point collaboration and I'm a big fan of the Ballast beers I've had. And I'm having a "distilled fresh hop" Hop Hunter right now and it is delicious! Nice that that they have a little wider distribution for us small town folk.

Just had a case of their Nooner Pilsner over the weekend. It's a nice crisp german style pilsner with a little extra noble hops. It was very drinkable. The wife and I killed it in 2 days. Plus It came with a nice Sierra Nevada glass

Sierra Nevada is my favorite brewery. I'm a little biased because I lived in Chico and it was cheaper to drink than it was to eat in that town. Great town, Bidwell park-upper and lower- is awesome, which is the pics on their flagship beers. Great bars, great places to eat, a great town festival every week, great farmers market every sunday, the place is just all around awesome. I miss it sometimes but I'm glad I got out otherwise I'd just be chillin', partying, and hanging out at salmon hole all day everyday haha. Ahhhhhh...
With that said, I think SN has re-established themselves in the past couple years. They have come out with quite a few new offerings to keep themselves in the game. IMO they have a small brewery taste but they're one of biggest breweries out there. Their pale ale is what got me into good beer, and celebration and bigfoot are my 2 favorite beers of all time. If you go to the brewery ask for a palefoot! It's black and tan mix of the pale ale and bigfoot. It's great and wont get you hammered after a couple. It's a brewery, and a town, that is truly worth the trip to see if you can.

I have not had a bad beer from them.
From their Pale Ale to the Bigfoot Barley wine to their Kellerweis - all very good.

Man... not a fan of that IPL, but I'm just not a huge fan of hoppy lagers in general.

That being said, I can walk into about any BMC or dive bar and still get a SN Pale. And that's a good thing.

The resturant serves some killer food too. The new brewery is state of the art and I could not imagine another brewery out there that even compares on a beauty scale!

I was there in October & could not agree more.

The degree of detail that they pulled off in that place is remarkable. It really is a Taj Mahal.

The whole place is jaw dropping. Not to mention the technology that they have invested in to maintain quality.

They do a decent job but I've just never had anything from them that makes me think "Ohh man, I gotta have a SN @@@@"

I'm a huge fan. Celebration is pretty much perfect, Torpedo too. Ruthless is a great RyePA. SNPA is pretty much my lawnmower beer. Bigfoot is delicious. The one offs in the sample packs usually have me wishing they were year round. All in all a great brewer.

When I am not drinking homebrew, I am usually drinking Sierra Nevada. They craft clean, great tasting beers that stay relatively true to style and don't seem to go overboard on anything, which I appreciate. I usually grab one of their 24-pack seasonal variety selections at Costco, and that lasts me a pretty long time, as I only have one or two bottles per week sprinkled in with my homebrew consumption.

Sierra Nevada and Deschutes are my two favorite "big" craft brewers. They both do an excellent job maintaining a good product on a large scale.

My go to SN is still the pale ale. A Narwhal every now and then makes for a good night cap.

I wish I had that option at the Costco's in Utah. Have to go to the liquor store and buy them by the bottle.
