I never posted photos when I answered this thread a few months back, so here's some of what I like to do;

The purchase of a Pentax K-5 and some vintage lenses has gotten me back into photography again.

I picked up a few lenses in addition to the 18-55mm kit lens:
SMC-A 50mm/f1.4
SMC-F 50mm/f1.7
SMC-F 35-70mm/f3.5-4.5 Macro

I'd like to get my hands on a wide angle, something at least 28mm in full frame. The FA 31mm/f1.8 Limited would be amazing, but I can't drop another $1000 on camera stuff right now.

Been enjoying the new toys with my new (just turned 48 hours) son:

Things I don't have pics of, Roasting coffee beans, gardening, canning, fishing, hunting, cooking, camping, hiking, biking, and a few others I can't think of right now.

My two other obsessions are cigars and woodworking. Here are a few woodworking examples from the past few years:

Here is a Honduran Mahogany Wall Cabinet/Shelf I built using a bunch of scraps.

Here are some of cabinet's details.

I built this solid cherry cabinet (dyed black) for our bathroom. We could not find one we liked that fit so I just went ahead and built what I wanted.

The humidor I built a few years ago. It holds a little over 1000 cigars and I've managed to fill it up completely. It's like playing tetris anytime I add something to it.

A baseball bat I turned to show my Cost Accounting MBA professor. We started using the manufacturing process of baseball bats as an example for cost accounting and he never expected one of his students to actually know how they are made in such detail. He asked me to turn one and bring it in. This is one of my favorite items I've done.

A barrister bookcase for my office at work. It is made of solid cherry. Looking at this picture, it's amazing how much darker it is now after 3 years of light exposure.

This was a joke pic with an old boat of mine I had taken for a buddy of mine. IIRC the email was titled Redfish in the Grass.
I have a 1960 CJ5 languishing in the driveway. I need to finish rebuilding it at some point.

I can't believe there is only one other diver in here. This is my new obsession. I have only been on 10 dives but I love it. Too bad I live in Phoenix and the only option I really have is Lake Pleasant.

This is from my first dive in Hawaii. No octopus live in Lake Pleasant. :rockin:

Nice pic! You should work on getting your nitrox cert. Even if you are diving well under 100ft nitrox keeps you from feeling like a bag of smashed buttholes at the end of the day. Surface intervals are different too. I see you dive Zeagle too, they make amazing stuff.

I dive, though while moving to CO has been great for beer it sucks for diving. Rescue diver with Nitrox and around 200 dives

I guess you could call costume making my other obsession... I don't tend to take many pictures of my work though, most documentation (I guess you could call it that) exists on peoples phones or facebook. My latest one before I got too busy with life/school/brewing:

Since moving to Okinawa last year diving has become my 2nd obsession. Should hit 100 dives next month.

How do you do that? I used to get into making costumes, but it usually consisted of sheets, plastic, duct tape and paint. Nothing ever this good.

Another diver here. Haven't been in a while, but miss it.

Nice videos pointer - really enjoyed riding vicariously through your pantera video. My mountain bike is now outfitted for commuting. I do miss the trails....

forgot to add some more.

Thrift shopping (picked this guy up for $40, and is $120 new, only needed the speed control fixed on the turntable) i love dinking around in them. I always walk out with 2 or more beer glasses as well (as you can see from the right side of the stereo)

Bwahaha. I have a Miracle piano system, and I loved it. I actually learned to play piano on it until I ran out of lessons, and then took real lessons. I wish it had an advanced package with more songs, I'd have bought that in a second.

same here! lol, my parents thought it was awesome back in the day for us kids, so they bought it, and during a move we lost it :(
ended up finding that one almost complete for $5 at a thrift shop, i still had the game and cord! so i was good lol. :tank:

A lot of cutting, folding, and gluing paper together, a couple gallons of resin and sheets of fiberglass, and about a gallon of bondo. And way too much time. I've got another one going right now, hopefully it'll be done when Halloween rolls around.

My other obessions -
Hunting of all kinds, rebuilding old tractors and restoring my old 1950 GMC pickup into vintage inline hot rod.

I finally finished our first video for Halloween. Yes, this is our house!
The flames are real :p I have used some parts of my beer making to incorporate into the display like the propane control and check out the beer bottles under the skeleton picture.. No non-beer making person would have 300+ label less-bottles to put on display.lol

Video Here
