I brewed a 10gal batch of English Ale 13 Nov. I had a 1.5L starter that my better half knocked off the counter the night before brew day (what a mess and we are still finding glass).
Brew day morning I went to my local home brew and cleaned them out of WLP002 English Ale Yeast (4 packs) and pitched once my brew was in the fermenter and aerated for 25mins.
OG was 1.057 and now it is stuck at 1.017 and hasn't dropped in 3 days.
I believe my cell count was a bit on the low side but thought it would finish ok. Beersmith said I need ~450Billion, buy my 4 packs yielded only ~390 at most.
Was thinking about rehydrating a pack of US05 and pitching it in to see if I can get it to drop a few more points.
Good idea or not??
