Wow, I am very impressed! My gf (thank you love) got me one from AHBS for a belated christmas present. It was less wide and tall then I had imagined. It looked downright puny in my eyes at first!

This sucker WORKS! I just want to say to anyone contemplating a plate chiller, GET ONE, and to those of you who have one, im glad to join the club!!

Me likes mine too.... I have about 15 ten gallon batches under it, and it works great. I use fresh hops, and a false bottom to filter the hops, but still get a bunch of hop particles stuck in the chiller. I'd like to use a hop back, but don't have one. Since you like yours so much, just make sure you clean it well... Use super hot PBW with Oxyclean, and flush both directions... Another tip is to not constantly pump this solution through, but intermittently stop/ start it. It seems to clear things out better that way. Don't forget to rinse it well, and then put it in the oven at 200 degrees to dry it!

Lastly, when using it, make sure you pump hot boiling wort, just in case, through it for 5 minutes or so.

I really think this thing is underrated. I don't think a bigger make/model is necessary. For the price, you can't beat it. Just be sure you clean the hell out of that thing after every 4 brews or so.......
