I want to make something with WLP028, a bit malty but not too strong (I might make a wee heavy sometime, but I want something a little bit more easily drinkable first). I was thinking something along these lines:

12 litres total

2.4kg pale
0.3kg dark crystal (215 ish EBC)
0.03kg roasted barley

15g East Kent Goldings @ 60minutes
15g East Kent Goldings @ 15 minutes

Beersmith estimates OG 20 IBUs, 33EBC and 1.051OG. Though I was probably going to take the first 2 litres of wort and boil it down and add it back. Should I tone down the dark crystal in that case? How does that all sound?
