Here's the official thread for beer of the week, April 14-20, 2008 and all subsequent tastings, Schneider Weisse Hefe-Weizen

My bottle seems to have some oxidized and stale flavors in it. It's cloudy amber colored with a big rocky off-white head. The aroma has classic banana and clove. The flavor is a little sharp and stale, lemony cardboard, the oxidized malt flavors cover up some of the yeast flavors. It's highly carbonated and finishes dry. I wish I had a fresher bottle.

One of my favorites. Try another to get a fresh one. Well balanced flavor and it's bottled with it's real yeast.
