I drilled a hole for my rubber stopper and it's too damn big. I don't have a lhbs and I already checked lowes, home depot, and Michael's for stoppers, no dice. Soooo what can I do until my new lid arrives? Right now I have it pretty jimmy rigged. The stopper is in there, but the seal
Isn't tight, so I duct taped around it, but I can see a bubble in the duct tape where the gas is pushing through. I have 3 days before my kid comes. Ahhhhh the panic. Any ideas guys?

It doesn't have to be airtight- don't sweat it. You do want to keep fruitflies and the like out of it, so a piece of cotton batting or that duct tape would more than likely do just fine.

Go to a fabric store and get some open cell foam, cut it to size. That's what I use on my flasks. Just sanitize it before ya put in place.
